Our family moved to Whangarei from the Hokianga in the 1950’s. We have been farming this area ever since and in 2004 we began THE CHOOK FARM to meet the growing demand for Free Range eggs in our region. We know that the care we put into our land has a direct impact on the health and welfare of our livestock and the quality of product that we produce. That is why we strive to provide our chooks with the best environment, planting trees for shelter, winter garden for scratching and foraging as well as plenty of space for them to stretch their wings and legs.
Our Chooks enjoy a mix of winter garden, range area and plenty of trees. As well as delivering a top quality egg to families all around Northland, the health and welfare of our chooks is our top priority. We regularly undergo Independent Auditing by Asure Quality to ensure we exceed regulatory requirements for Free Range eggs in New Zealand.
Over a 24 hour day our eggs are collected, graded, packed and made ready for distribution right here on site at THE CHOOK FARM.
